Eye & Vision Exams

At Dr. Wendy Sanders’s Office, we strive to provide comprehensive, primary eye care for the whole family. Preventative and routine eye exams are important to maintaining good eye health. Often, eye and vision problems do not have obvious symptoms or signs, but are easily diagnosed by a licensed optometrist. By diagnosing eye and vision conditions early on, our optometrist is able provide treatment options and in many cases restore or prevent vision loss. The American Optometric Association recommends yearly or bi-yearly eye and vision exams, depending on whether you are at-risk or not.

CDC Recommendation

Under the recommendation of the Illinois Optometric Association, we have followed the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines for mask mandates in a medical setting, since the beginning of Covid.  The CDC recently lifted the mask mandate for medical facilities, except for hospitals and nursing homes.
At this time, we are no longer requiring masks to be worn in our office. Our main concern is for the health and safety of all our patients, so if you prefer the staff to wear a mask during your visit, please let us know.  As we have all learned, things can quickly change but for now we look forward to seeing everyone’s face and sharing our smiles!
We will remain by appointment only for all services and ask that you continue to call the office upon arrival. This has proven to be more efficient and allows us to better serve our patients and customers.  Sanitation processes and procedures will remain in place as we do our part in keeping everyone healthy.  If you are sick, we simply ask that you contact the office and reschedule your appointment.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in these ever-changing times.
